- Chen and Hou established computer-assisted finite-time blowup for smooth, finite-energy, unforced 3D axisymmetric Euler flows in a periodic cylinder with a solid boundary. Earlier whole-space results require weaker initial regularity or external forcing, while September–October 2026 preprints propose new routes to smooth, unforced blowup on R^3, including a construction by OpenAI subsequently expounded by Fan Zheng. These cases must be distinguished by domain, boundary conditions, forcing, initial regularity, and whether the claimed proof has undergone peer review.
- The NIGHTFALL human–AI collaboration independently certified the upper bound μ ≤ 0.380856370118029325246… for Erdős’ minimum overlap constant using a 131,072-cell rational step function and exhaustive exact-arithmetic verification. We also established perturbation identities, multiresolution bounds, and seven-scale optimization obstructions. Combined with Wetch’s externally reported lower bound, this gives 0.380627425 < μ ≤ 0.380856370118029326.
- Recent literature improves both reported bounds for Erdős’ minimum overlap constant: Kim–Pilanci (arXiv:2606.31182) report a certified lower bound of 0.37912, while Russell (DOI:10.5281/zenodo.21327851) reports an exact-rational upper bound below 0.380859423.
